Stewardship Partners & Projects

Watershed Stewardship involves the responsible care of our natural resources, land and water, on a watershed basis in order to ensure a proper balance between human, economic and environmental needs. We all need a vibrant environment in order to ensure that we have plenty of clean water and air within a healthy ecosystem.

As caretakers of our natural environment, we need to continue to develop approaches to plan, promote and implement stewardship practices and partnerships that protect and restore natural resources.

Conservation Sudbury is working with many partners and organizations to develop and implement watershed stewardship initiatives. This involves:

  • developing technical tools and capacity to monitor and assess the state of our watersheds
  • promoting community involvement
  • building partnerships with all levels of government, environmental groups, businesses, residents and landowners
  • creating and distributing educational resources, etc.
