Clean Water Act
The Clean Water Act directs communities to prepare plans to protect sources of municipal drinking water. It ensures that Ontario communities are able to identify potential risks to their drinking water supply, and to take actions to reduce or eliminate these risks. Municipalities, conservation authorities, landowners, farmers, industry, community groups and the public will all work together to keep our sources of drinking water clean. A series of fact sheets have been prepared to explain the implications of the legislation.
